Steven M. Dunn

Attorney Steven M. Dunn was born and raised in Miami Florida. He attended the University of Florida school of law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1985. After his admission to the Florida Bar, he began his practice at Dunn and Johnson, P.A working with his father, where he focused primarily on workers compensation and personal injury cases. Eventually, Steven expanded his practice area to maritime cases. During that time, Steven secured multi-million-dollar verdicts in both the personal injury and maritime field. Approximately 20 years ago, Steven’s father attempted to use his own long term care insurance policy for care in assisted living. The claim was subsequently denied, and Steven handled the case on his father’s behalf. Following a successful outcome, Steven pivoted his practice exclusively to long term care insurance cases. Since then, Steven has handled thousands of long-term care insurance cases involving every issue in the field and dealing with every major insurance carrier in the country. Steven has been involved in multiple landmark cases in the State of Florida, including the first appellate court decision involving the Florida long term care insurance statute. Steven has also been involved in multiple long term care insurance class action cases including a case that made it to the Florida Supreme Court.
